Description

Tylers is a house dating from the 16th century, with significant alterations in the 18th century and restoration and extensions in the 20th century. It has plain walls and a steep tiled roof, hipped at the west end and half-hipped at the east end, with a shafted stack. The front (south-east) elevation is rendered and comprises two storeys with three windows, featuring 20th-century casement windows. A 20th-century doorway is present, incorporating a cornice, architrave, and a six-panelled door. The tall north-east gable reveals exposed timber framing, indicating a jettied front, filled in with brick. A lower 18th-century extension is constructed of brick and tile. 20th-century extensions and replacement windows are present on the other elevations.
