Description

This is a large thatched cottage dating to the late 16th century, with alterations and additions in the 18th and 20th centuries. The north front features one storey and an attic, with four windows. The central section has an exposed timber frame, with a 20th-century light frame to the west and painted brick infill. The east side comprises a single 18th-century bay of painted brickwork, with a further 20th-century bay matching the style, both with cambered arches to the ground-floor openings. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with square-cut eyebrow dormers. Casement windows are 20th-century. A thatched roofed porch built of brick is also 20th-century.
