Description
Holly Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century, with early 19th-century and 1921 alterations. It features flint walls with brick dressings, including quoins, cambered arches, and a high plinth. The roof is tiled, hipped at the west end, half-nipped at the east, and has a catslide at the rear, along with three gabled dormers that have cills at eaves level. Originally a timber-framed lobby-entrance house, it has been reclad and extended, particularly in 1921. The south front has one storey and an attic, with three windows above four, and outshots at each end, with the east side featuring a window. The casements include a small old window above the porch. The solid porch, built in the early 20th century, matches the wall construction and has a half-glazed door. The rear of the house is irregular, with a wing on the east side added in 1921.
