Description
Jordans is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The original section features a hipped roof with gablets, and the upper walls display exposed framing that is jettied at the south end, with brick infill. The lower walls are constructed of brickwork in English bond and sit on a high plinth. The roof is tiled. The building has a cross shape, with the north-south arm being the original four-bay timber-framed house, while the east and west arms are recent extensions that match in scale. It is generally two storeys high, with half-dormers and full dormers. The windows are casements, and there is a 20th-century timber-framed porch. The west wing features a half-hipped roof, hipped dormers, and tile-hung upper walls, while the east wing has brick walls.
