Description

The Lawn is a two-storey house built in the early 19th century, with some early 20th-century alterations. The older section features a very plain Grecian symmetrical facade on the east side, which has four windows. It has a hipped slate roof and is constructed with ashlar walling. The design includes deep eaves with a fascia that has moulding and a fillet, a first-floor band, and recessed plain architraves. The ground-floor openings are topped with a moulded cornice supported by console brackets. The upper part features casement windows and French doors that open onto a verandah, which has a concave metal roof supported by a wrought-iron trellis. There is a modern extension at the north end, which has plain stucco walling.
