Description

St Cross House is an early 19th-century, two-storey, L-shaped house located on Church Street in Whitchurch. The building features a simple and plain design, with a symmetrical east-facing garden elevation that has three windows. It has a low-pitched slate roof and rendered walls, complemented by stone cills and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with narrow side panes. The front includes a plain arched doorway with a six-panelled door that has two top-glazed panels. There is another door with a canopy supported by carved brackets. At the rear, there are outshots with slate hanging and scalloped bands. This house was once used as the vicarage.
