Description
Benwells, located on Church Street in Whitchurch, is a building from the early 19th century with late 19th-century alterations. It has two storeys and a modern attic, featuring four windows. The steep hipped tile roof is adorned with a moulded and modillion cornice. The walls are finished in stucco, with a first-floor band, stone cills, and a high plinth. The building has Victorian sash windows, including two close-coupled ground-floor windows on the east side. The doorway is framed by a plain architrave and contains a four-panelled door. Additionally, there is a single-storeyed block that projects forward on the east side, which is of similar design to the main structure.
