Description
Yeomanry House, located on Castle Street, is an early 19th-century building with modern extensions and adjoining structures. The original front of the house is two storeys high, constructed of stucco, and features a moulded cornice and a balustrade that runs across the entire width. It has a slate roof and a wide central six-panel door, which is flanked by rusticated side panels and set within a recessed arch that has a key pattern ornament above the door. A wide radiating fanlight is positioned above the door. The house includes glazing bar sash windows, with one above the door and full-height segmental bow windows on either side, each containing three windows. To the left, there is a two-storey wing with three windows, where the ground floor windows are set in arched recesses. To the right, there is a later three-storey wing added in the late 19th century.
