Description
Kings Lodge is a late 17th century and mid 19th century building, originally known as The Vicarage and formerly referred to as Parsonage Farm. The house features extensions and alterations likely associated with the church restoration of 1866. It is primarily two storeys high, with an older three-storeyed wing and an attic. The fenestration is irregular. The roof is covered with old tiles and is half-hipped, featuring a large two-storeyed half-octagon bay with a hipped roof and one hipped-roofed dormer. The eaves are brick with a dentilled design. The walls are constructed of brick, with some areas rendered; the older sections display Flemish bond while the later sections use English bond with blue brick banding. The first floor of the old three-storeyed part has a band. The building includes casements and two single-storeyed angular bays, along with a "Tudor" doorway.
