Description

Forge Cottage is a mid-17th century building with later 19th century alterations. It is a single storey structure with an attic, featuring a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the west end and has an eyebrow dormer. The cottage has an exposed timber frame with some areas rendered and panels made of alternating bands of flint and brick. The east side of the building, which was formerly a shop, is of a later date and projects forward. It has a hipped slate roof and a flint-panelled brick wall that is now painted. The windows are casements, and there is a half-glazed door.
