Description

Mattingley Green Cottage is a 17th-century building with one storey and an attic, and two storeys at the rear. It features a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the west end and hipped at the east, with low eaves on the forward projection of the east side. Set within the thatch is a tiled area that includes a gabled dormer, which has a cill at eaves level and old diagonally-leaded casements. The main part of the cottage has an exposed timber frame with painted brick infill and other walling. It has casement windows and a plain door. At the rear, there is a two-storeyed extension made of brick and tile.
