Description

The barn east of Bannister's Farmhouse dates from the late 18th century. It features a five-bay timber frame with an aisle of one bay to the north of the central projecting entrance. The structure includes struts to the purlins and arch braces to the tie-beams, with boarded walls. The roof is covered in red tiles, with half-hipped ends and a hipped section over the porch. To the north, there is a lower L-shaped block that was built at a later date, also with tile roofing and boarded walling.
