Description

This ice house, dating from the 18th to early 19th century, is located approximately 10 metres to the northeast of Garden Cottage in Winslade, Hackwood Park. It is constructed of brick and covered by earth, featuring a circular domed chamber beneath a mound of earth. The entrance tunnel is on the north side but is mostly collapsed. This ice house is one of a pair from the same period, with a second ice house located to the east.
