Description

White Cottages is a house dating from the 17th century, with additions and alterations in the 20th century. It is a two-storey building, with a modernised section of one storey and an attic. The thatched roof is hipped and brought to a low eaves above the south end, which is outshot, with a half-hip at the north end. A large brick stack is present. The older part of the building exhibits exposed timber framing with brick infill and rendered wattle; the outshot displays boarding, and the north side has painted brickwork with exposed framing in the north end gable. Casement windows are present, along with boarded doors within solid frames.
