Description

Rivendell is a timber-framed house, originally dating to the 16th century, with alterations in the early 19th century and the 20th century. It is a two-bay building featuring a large fireplace at the east end, and with later extensions to the rear and side. The house is one storey and has an attic, with a two-and-a-half window front. It has a half-hipped thatched roof. The walls are of painted brick, with exposed timber framing visible in the upper part of the west gable. Casement windows are present. A modern gabled brick porch has been added.
