Description

Tudor House is a timber-frame house dating to the 16th century, with a timber-framed extension from the 17th century and alterations from the early 19th and 20th centuries. The structure features close-studded timber framing with jettied gables and a jettied first floor, incorporating flint and brick infill. Some timber-framed walls have brick infill, while the roadside elevation displays a mix of brick walling revealing altered features. The roof is tiled. The house is two and a half storeys high with irregular window placement. It includes casement windows, some featuring mullioned and transom frames that project forward on brackets. A 20th-century glazed porch is at the rear, accessed through a carriage opening that leads to a single-storey wing. Internally, one room contains 17th-century panelling.
