Description

The Old Cottage is a timber-framed house dating to the 16th century, with alterations from the 18th century and modern additions. It is a three-bay dwelling with an entrance positioned beside a large chimney breast. The house has one storey and an attic, containing three windows. The roof is tiled and half-hipped at the south end, with a shafted stack. Some of the original timber framing is visible, but the majority of the walls are brick, constructed in English bond, Flemish bond with blue headers, and stretcher bond. Modern casement windows with leaded panes are present. A boarded door is set within a solid frame.
