Description

This early 19th-century building comprises three properties: 21, 21A, and 21B, located on Winchester Road in Basingstoke. The building presents a symmetrical facade of two storeys and three windows. It has a slate roof and red brick walling in a Flemish bond pattern, with rubber flat arches over the windows and stone sills. The windows are sash windows, with 16 panes to the wider ground-floor lights. A plain arched doorway is flanked by a fanlight, and a later shallow trellis porch has been added. To either side of the main facade are walls, each pierced by a round-headed doorway; the doorway on the western side (21B) has a fanlight, while the doorway on the eastern side (21A) features a rendered panel. The flanking walls have a dropping curve towards the front.
