Description

Winton House is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys high with a basement and features a two-storey east wing. The symmetrical front faces north and has five windows, with one additional window in the wing. It has a low-pitched pyramid slate roof with wide plain eaves. The walls are made of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with rubbed flat arches, stone cills, and a brick plinth. The windows are sash types set in reveals.

At the front, there is a stucco porch supported by coupled columns in front of single pilasters, raised on four steps. The porch is in the Tuscan Order, featuring a blocking course and smooth columns. The doorway has a thin architrave and a decorative arched fanlight above it. The rear elevation has three windows, a fanlight above the central doorway, and a French window on the west side. The rear wall is made of brick with stone weathered capping, although the wrought iron rails are now missing.
