Description
The Wheatsheaf Public House is a mid-19th century building located at the corner of Winton Square. It features symmetrical facades on two streets, connected by a rounded corner that is recessed. The structure has two storeys and an attic, with three windows on the upper floor. It is topped with a hipped slate roof that has wide eaves supported by carved brackets. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, with blue headers in the recessed areas, rubbed flat arches, a band at the first floor, stone cills, and a plinth. The first floor has sash windows, while the ground floor has modern casements. There are plain central doorways on each front. Attached to the east side is a later wing that has a similar design, featuring two windows and a separate hipped slate roof.
