Description

This is an early 19th century house located on The Street in Old Basing. The front (east) elevation features a symmetrical design with three windows arranged over two storeys. It has a low-pitched slate roof with wide eaves, and a chimney running along the ridge. The house is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with flat rubbed brick arches above the windows and a plinth at the base. The windows are wide sashes, with a central blank bay. A six-panelled door is set within a plain surround. The north side of the house presents a symmetrical design with two windows, which have been filled in. Modern additions have been made to the south end of the property.
