Description

The North Barn, located 20 yards north of the house, dates from around 1600. It is a tall barn with brick walls divided into three large bays. The roof is made of old tiles and is half-hipped at both ends. The walls are constructed of red brick in English bond and feature four buttresses on each long side, along with a high plinth. There are two tiers of slotted openings, with three additional openings in the gables. The barn has a Queen Post truss, with central openings and later window openings in each side bay.
