Description
Lychpit Farmhouse is a building that dates from the 16th century, with additions from the 18th century and modern alterations. It stands two storeys high with an attic and features a one-storey modern extension to the east. The roof is covered in red tiles, gabled at the west end with a large chimney stack, and hipped at the east end with a shafted stack. There are two hipped dormers on the roof. The walls are constructed of red brick in English bond, with a stone band at the first floor and stone framing around the upper mullioned windows on the south facade. The north elevation includes some later brickwork in Flemish bond, with cambered openings on the ground floor. The windows are casements. A modern two-storeyed porch with a hipped roof has tile-hung upper walls and features double doors set within an arched frame.
