Description
Grange Farmhouse is a late 17th century L-shaped house that stands two storeys high with an attic and features an outshot on the north-west side. The building has a hipped tile roof and plain boxed eaves. The walls are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a first-floor band, cambered openings, and a plinth. The front facing the road (south-west) has six regularly spaced windows, some of which are blank, and two small hipped dormers, all fitted with modern casements. The south-east gable has two windows on each floor, which are blank but display the old mullion and transom frames at the ground floor. In the angle of the house (3.2 windows; 4 blank) is a small plain entrance with a flat hood. The north-east gable features a gabled dormer and one window on each floor, along with small lights in the outshot on the north-west side, and a solid frame surrounding a boarded door.
