Description

The turret and walls in the garden of Turret Cottage date back to the 16th century. The structure features four sides of an octagonal turret, standing approximately 14 feet high, which is connected to a section of walling on its east side. This structure appears to have been half-demolished when the canal was constructed. The turret is made of red brickwork in English bond, adorned with a blue diaper pattern above a high plinth. Additionally, there is another short section of the same wall attached to the west side of Turret Cottage.
