Description

The roadside wall from Grange Farm to Sopers Row dates from the 16th and 18th centuries and stands approximately 6 feet tall. The wall turns at the eastern end and continues northwards for a short distance. It is constructed of Tudor bricks, primarily in header bond, and features a plinth. At the midpoint, there is an 18th-century gateway that is now blocked, with piers made of finely jointed brickwork in Flemish bond. The bases of the piers are made of stone and include a column base moulding. Some sections of the wall have a weathered top.
