Description
Daneshill Cottage, built around 1900 by Sir Edwin Lutyens, is a distinctive building designed as a symmetrical pair with unequal rear wings. The front, facing south, features one storey and an attic with two windows. It has a tiled roof and a prominent central chimney stack, along with two tile-hung gabled dormers. The ground floor consists of two bays that include glazed entrance doors. The east wing boasts two large half-dormers with mullioned and transom lights, and the ground floor has cambered openings. There is also a large porch. The west wing is a single-storeyed projection that ends in a chimney stack and features leaded casements.
