Description

30 Mermaid Street is a house with a front that dates from the 18th century, but timber framing can be seen in the east wall through the passageway of the adjacent house, suggesting that this facade hides an earlier timber-framed structure. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows, a painted brick exterior, an eaves cornice, and a tiled roof with two dormers. The windows are casement style, and the entrance has a six-panel moulded door, although the two top panels have been cut away and replaced with glazing. All the listed buildings on Mermaid Street are part of a group.
