Description

Jeake's House is located at 1578 Mermaid Street and was built in 1689 by Samuel Jeake. The house is constructed of stone rubble, featuring sandstone and brick quoins. It has a tiled roof with a tile-hung gable at the center of the north front, along with one dormer on either side. The windows are casement style, and the doorway is framed with a small flat hood above it. The east side of the house also has a tile-hung gable. This building is part of a group of listed buildings on Mermaid Street.
