Description

This is an early 19th-century building on Wellington Square. It is stuccoed, with a rusticated ground floor, and has a low-pitched tiled roof and a moulded eaves cornice. The building is four storeys high, with a basement, and two windows wide. The windows are sash windows without any glazing bars. On the first floor, there are French windows leading onto a decorative ironwork balcony with a tent-shaped canopy. A round-headed doorway to the right has a semi-circular fanlight with traceried detailing and a three-panelled door. The basement area is enclosed by railings with arrow-head shafts and turned newels topped with pineapple finials. The building contributes to the group value of the buildings on Wellington Square.
