Description

This early 19th-century building is located on Wellington Square. It is stuccoed and has a slate roof with flat-headed dormers and a parapet. A moulded cornice and string courses run along the facade. The building is four storeys high with a basement, and is two windows wide. The second floor has some glazing bars, whilst the second and third floors feature windows within moulded architraves. The first floor is distinguished by two French casements that open onto a balcony, supported by brackets with cast iron balustrade and slender columns, leading to a tent-shaped roof. The ground floor has a modern square bay window and a left-hand doorway framed by a moulded architrave, above which is a rectangular fanlight and a door with shaped panels. Included in the listing are the area railings. The listed buildings of Wellington Square constitute a group.
