Description
Nos 4 and 6 Russell Street are early 19th-century buildings constructed of red brick with blue headers. They feature a tiled roof with gabled ends and a moulded eaves cornice. The buildings rise to three storeys and have two sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded casings. The ground floor has late 20th-century replacement doors on the left and right, each with a rectangular fanlight featuring glazing bars and a reeded frieze. In the center of the ground floor, there are two bow windows that were installed in 1990. The rear elevation is similar, with two flush-panelled doors that also have rectangular fanlights and reeded friezes. Nos 4 to 20 (even) Russell Street, along with Nos 5 and 6 Albert Road, form a group, with Nos 14 to 20 (even) Russell Street being of local interest only.
