Description

47 Wellington Square is an early 19th-century building that is stuccoed. It features a parapet and cornice, standing three storeys tall with a basement. The façade is two windows wide, with sash windows that have glazing bars. The first floor has tall sashes leading to a slightly bowed balcony at the center, supported by brackets and featuring a decorative ironwork balustrade. Slender columns support a tent-shaped canopy with a moulded cornice. The left-hand doorway includes a rectangular fanlight. The property also has well-designed basement area railings with large square corner piers made of cast iron openwork, topped with urn finials. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in Wellington Square.
