Description
The London Trader Public House, located at East Beach Street, is an early 19th-century building that was originally three houses. The exterior is finished in stucco and features a new tiled roof with shaped ridge tiles. The left side consists of Nos 5 and 6, which are two-storeys with an attic partly in a mansard style. These houses have two windows, with a two-light casement and a two-light sash on the first floor, and two plate glass windows along with a glazed door on the ground floor. To the right, No 7 is three-storeys high with a hipped tiled roof and brick dentil eaves. It has two windows, with sashes without glazing bars on the first and second floors, and two plate glass bar windows along with a glazed door on the ground floor. The right-hand return, facing east, has two windows on the first floor, one window on the second floor, also with sashes without glazing bars, and a small modern bar window on the ground floor. This building is included for its group value with Nos 3 to 7.
