Description
This is an 18th-century building of three storeys and an attic, located on the south-east side of High Street. It is stuccoed and has a tiled roof with a half-hipped gable end. The building originally had three windows; these are mostly sash windows without glazing bars, although some have been restored, and are set within exposed casing. Modern louvred shutters are present on number 61, and a hipped dormer is visible on number 60. Brick chimney stacks are also present.
The ground floor has been adapted for commercial use. Number 60 features a 20th-century shop front, while number 61 has a shop front dating to the later 19th century. This includes plate glass, a cornice above, moulded and panelled pilasters to the doorway on the left, and a modern brick pier at the corner on the right.
Numbers 60, 61 and 61A, High Street, along with the listed buildings up to and including number 118 in the High Street, form a group of buildings with group value.
