Description

SWALLOWFIELD PART LANE SU 76 SW (west side) 11/32 Angel Sprints G.V. II Cottage. Late C16 altered C20. Timber frame with painted brick infill, thatched hip roof with thatch swept down at rear to low eaves level. Rectangular plan of 4 framed bays with outshut at rear. 2 storeys. Chimney on ridge to right of centre. C20 2 and 3-light leaded casements, scattered within frame. Entrance front:- 3 bays. 4-panelled entrance door under tiled gabled base porch to left of centre. The cottage was at one time known as Angel Inn.
