Description
Little Kames is a villa built around 1840, featuring painted stucco and a hipped slate roof with a rectangular plan. The building stands two storeys tall and has two chimneys topped with clay pots. The exterior includes sash windows, and the entrance front faces south with three bays. The windows are adorned with moulded architraves that feature a lion mask on the key. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay on the right with casement doors leading to the garden, flanked by casements on the sides, and topped with a cornice and blocking course. The central entrance door is likely a 20th-century addition, set within an 18th-century door-case that has fluted pilasters and a triglyph frieze decorated with sunflowers and an angel head in the metopes. The lead rainwater heads date from the early 18th century and have decorative designs. The interior has not been inspected.
