Description

Brook House is an early 19th-century house, extended in the mid-19th century and altered in the 20th century. It is built of painted render with slate gabled roofs of differing heights. The house has an irregular plan. The exterior features three brick chimneys with corniced heads. Sash windows are fitted throughout, many retaining glazing bars. The north-west front, which serves as the entrance front, has three bays, with the central bay blocked at first floor level. A 20th-century entrance door is located within an enclosed porch featuring a hipped slate roof. A lower, set-back extension is located to the right, with a low-pitched hipped slate roof over a single bay. To the left is another single-bay extension. The interior was not inspected.
