Description
32 and 34 Castle Hill are a pair of mid-19th century villas. They are two stories tall and feature a pyramidal slate roof with central chimneys that are offset from the ridge. The villas have wide overhanging eaves and decorative lead trimming along the fascia. The exterior is stuccoed and colourwashed. At the center and each end of the buildings are full-height pilasters, with panels on the first floor and a segmental arched frieze above a flat band.
On the first floor, there are two double-hung sash windows set in reveals, with flat architraves and panelled stone cills. The ground floor has two French casements with wood mullions, transoms, and marginal glazing. A pent roof canopy spans the full width of the front, adorned with decorative ironwork. There are square closed entrance porches on either side, which are set back and feature one bay of two-story wings behind, each with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars and cills.
