Description

7 Castle Hill Terrace is a mid-19th century two-storey villa featuring a hipped slate roof and flanking chimneys. The building has a symmetrical three-bay façade made of roughcast and colour-washed material, with a flat band and rusticated quoins on the first floor. Tuscan pilasters support the ground floor. The first-floor windows are double-hung sash with glazing bars, while the central window has fixed lights divided by a heavy hood mullion. The windows are adorned with moulded and decorated architraves, stone cills supported by small brackets, and blind hoods. On the ground floor, there is one French casement window on either side of a central four-panel half-glazed door, along with two small later round-headed windows flanking the left-hand casement. The casements also feature moulded and decorated architraves. A verandah with a pent hood is supported by slender wooden columns and balusters.
