Description

Numbers 2 and 3, Castle Hill, are a late 19th-century infill development of three-storey buildings with narrow fronts. Number 2 is constructed of deep red brick and features a pedimented central dormer with swept flanking parapets that incorporate ornamental brickwork. It has three windows spaced closely on the upper floors, with moulded edges to the openings and aprons featuring brick panels. A modern shop front is present. Number 3 has a narrow painted front with a single window, a gabled parapet, and decorative bands of toothed brick. A moulded cornice runs along the shop fascia. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value alongside numbers 4 to 11 and Castle Hill House.
