Description

The Horse and Groom Public House is a 16th to 17th century building that stands three storeys high. It features a gabled, timber-framed structure with rough cast walls and an old tile roof. The upper floors have one window each, while the first floor boasts a three-light window and two angular bays, along with a central glazed door, all beneath an oversailing upper section. The side facing Market Street is irregular, with a gabled design and a mix of irregular windows and doors. The Horse and Groom is part of a group with Nos 2 to 4 and Nos 10 and 11 Castle Hill.
