Description
Walnut Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century additions. It features a timber frame with brick nogging and angle braces, and has an old tile roof that is half hipped to the right. There is a 20th-century projecting gabled cross wing off-centre to the right, which has a tile-hung first floor and two diamond leaded casements. To the left, there are four gabled dormers with two-light diamond leaded casements and three ridge stacks. The house has five framed bays to the left and is one and a half storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are five 20th-century diamond leaded casements to the left of the cross wing, three with two lights and two with one light, as well as two 20th-century leaded casements to the right. The cross wing has a boarded door flanked by two 20th-century leaded casements, and a 20th-century gabled timber framed porch is located between the third and fourth windows from the left, also featuring a boarded door.
