Description
Lark's Rise is a house dating from the 17th century, with 19th and 20th century extensions to the left. It features a timber frame with red and brown brick infill and cladding below, along with brick and tile hung extensions to the left, all under plain tiled roofs that are half-hipped to the left. The building is two storeys high and has a rebuilt corbelled stack at the centre of the original range. On the right side, there is one three-light casement window on each floor, and one window on each floor of the gabled wing that projects to the left. A part-glazed door is located to the left at the angle with the wing, and there is a pentice at the rear left. The rear of the cross wing has weather-board cladding. Inside, the house features framed partition walls, a deep fireplace with a wood lintel, and a stop-chamfered spine beam. Some of the old exterior wall at the rear has been preserved inside.
