Description
This is an early 16th-century hall house situated on The Green in Dunsfold. It is timber-framed with brick infill, exhibiting a mix of materials. The lower portions are brick, with red and blue brick cladding on the left side and whitewashed wattle and render infill on the upper centre and right. The steeply pitched, plain-tiled roof has hipped sections and gable ends. A gabled dormer window provides access to the attic in the centre. There are stacks at each end of the building, and a corbelled ridge stack is located to the left of the centre. The house has three framed bays, each featuring long passing braces. There are three casement windows, the one on the left having a cambered head. A door is situated to the left of the centre, also with a cambered head, and another door is positioned to the right of the centre. The building is considered a relatively unspoiled example of an early house.
