Description
Willards is a house dating from the mid-16th century, with extensions added between 1936 and 1938 to the rear. It is timber framed and rests on brick footings, with brick infilling between the timbers. The extensions are brick and tile hung, and the roof is tiled. The house has an L-shaped plan, with a 20th-century cross wing to the right. It is two storeys high, featuring tension bracing on the ends of the first floor and a tall, central stack that corbels outwards. There are four leaded casement windows on the first floor, and three windows below. A central, 20th-century gabled porch features braced posts and a planked door set within margin lights. The right gable end has two leaded first-floor casements and one ground-floor window. A pentice extension projects to the right of centre, at the junction of the two ranges of the house.
