Description
Burnt Hill Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with refacing from the 19th century and additions from the 20th century. It is timber framed with later brick facing and additions, topped by an old tile roof. The cottage features a central 20th-century gabled porch, three gabled dormers with casement windows, and a central ridge stack. The design includes a lobby entrance type with three framed bays, and it is one storey with an attic. The central gabled porch has a segmental-headed casement, a casement window on the left-hand return front, and a boarded door under a segmental head on the right-hand return front. There is also a three-light segmental-headed casement to the left and two segmental-headed two-light 20th-century casements. Inside, there are substantial remains of the timber frame and a fireplace.
