Description

These are two barns located approximately 45 yards southeast of Rowbury Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century and later. They are timber framed, covered with weatherboarding, and have hipped thatched roofs that sweep up over the entrances.

The northern barn features six framed bays with aisles, open collared trusses, and double purlins, along with longitudinal and transverse bracing. There are two wagon entries on both the east and west sides. The southern barn has five framed bays with an aisle to the west, queen strut trusses, double purlins, and longitudinal and transverse bracing, with one wagon entry on each side.
