Description
Two barns located approximately 20 metres to the east of Lower Henwick Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed with brick walls and an old tile roof that is half hipped to the south. The southern barn features five framed bays with aisles and has central opposed wagon entrances, which are blocked to the east. It has queen post and queen strut trusses with longitudinal and transverse bracing. The northern barn consists of four framed bays with an aisle to the west and has opposed wagon entrances in the second bay from the north. This barn has a double purlin roof with a collar and queen strut trusses, along with longitudinal and transverse bracing.
