Description
Newbury Manor Hotel is an early 19th-century former mill house of Ham Mill, with a late 19th or early 20th-century extension added on the west side that forms the entrance front. The original block is two storeys high with one window and features a tiled roof with gable stacks. It is constructed of brick and has a gauged flat brick arch over a recessed sash window on the first floor, which includes glazing bars and sidelights. The former entrance has been replaced by a splayed bay with French windows. The late 19th-century block is also two storeys tall and includes a dormer. This section is double fronted with three windows and has a hipped tile roof with projecting eaves. It is also made of brick, with gauged flat brick arches over recessed sash windows that have glazing bars, and the outer bays feature sidelights. There is a Tuscan portico at the entrance.
